Position: CNC Lathe Machinist

As we continue to grow our operations in Clackamas, Oregon, we are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team. What You'll Do:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T requirements to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices required for production.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and make offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements when needed.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Work closely with programmers, inspectors, and supervisors to meet production schedules.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

What You Need to Have:
- Experience setting up and operating CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of GD&T principles and precision machining practices.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The Musts:
- Previous CNC Lathe setup and operation experience.
- Ability to perform in-process inspections and maintain quality standards.
- Strong blueprint reading skills.
- Dependable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
Preferred:
- Experience with multi-axis CNC lathes and live tooling.
- Prior experience machining tight-tolerance aerospace, industrial, or production components.
- Basic understanding of G & M code.
- Experience with Fanuc controls.
