Our client, a reputable organisation dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, is hiring for a Deputy Manager at their new 3-bedroom Children's Assessment Home. This Deputy Manager role offers a meaningful opportunity to support children through structured assessments, helping to promote positive outcomes.
As a Deputy Manger you'll be:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred support to children facing various challenges
- Supporting children during assessment placements and observing interactions
- Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and emotional support of children
- Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to deliver consistent care
- Leading shifts and supervising residential staff to maintain high standards of care
- Following policies, procedures, and placement plans in line with Ofsted regulations
- Producing detailed, evidence-based reports and maintaining a safe, structured environment
- Supporting safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
As a Deputy Manager you'll bring:
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent
- Experience working within residential childcare and with young people
- A manual UK driving licence
- Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills
- Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care
- Experience supporting children with complex needs and challenging behaviours
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and a team-oriented approach
