Construction Oversight Engineer

Position Title: Construction Oversight Engineer Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Construction Oversight Engineer opportunity. Job Responsibilities: Develop procedures for regulatory oversight of the construction of Reactor unit(s) Provide inspection oversight of the construction of Reactor unit(s), leveraging in-depth knowledge of NRC regulations and inspection procedures Independently identify issues of concern, proactively communicate with management within the Regulatory Construction Oversight organization, and recommend regulatory paths that resolve the issues of concern. Job Qualifications: 18+ years of experience with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), including time spent as a qualified inspector (reactors) In depth knowledge of regulations, codes, standards, and guidance related to nuclear power reactors Ability to work independently and with a questioning attitude Ability to apply knowledge, skills, and qualifications to a first-of-a-kind design Bachelor’s degree in a technical field desired (desired). Strong communication skills, including the ability to succinctly and promptly communicate matters of significance across a diverse audience (e.g., contractors, Company management) and work collaboratively to develop solutions to complex problems. The service provider will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and demonstrate a strong desire to foster teamwork. Travel Required: 75%. Job Details: Job Type: Contract Pay Rate Range: $84-$135/hr.
