About the Role
Integrity and Authenticity in the Application & Interview Process
At Dartmouth, our hiring process is designed to help us get to know you—your experiences, your skills, and how you think about your work. We value transparency, integrity, and authenticity, and we ask candidates to participate in the application and interview process in good faith.
Your application materials and interview responses should be an accurate and honest reflection of your background, capabilities, and perspectives. Our goal is to hear your story, in your voice.
Using tools and support during your application
We understand that many candidates use tools or resources to support their writing, preparation, or communication. These can be helpful for organizing thoughts, improving clarity, or building confidence.
When using any tools or assistance, please ensure that:
- The content you submit is based on your real experiences, skills, and qualifications.
- Your responses reflect your own thinking and viewpoints.
- Your materials sound like you and meaningfully represent who you are as a candidate.
Interviews and assessments
Interviews are intended to be a conversation and an opportunity for us to understand how you approach your work and share your experiences. During interviews and assessments, we expect candidates to respond independently and authentically, drawing on their own knowledge, experience, and judgment.
For certain roles, assessments may reflect the tools or ways of working used in the job itself. If any form of assistance is permitted during an assessment, we will provide clear guidance in advance.
Expectation of honesty and good faith
Dartmouth expects candidates to represent their qualifications and experiences honestly throughout the hiring process. Misrepresentation or falsification—whether involving content, experience, or skills—may result in removal from consideration.
As part of our commitment to a fair and accurate process, we may verify key information through references or other standard hiring practices.
Reasonable accommodations and accessibility
We are committed to being an inclusive workplace and providing reasonable accommodations to candidates who need them. We recognize that disabilities, learning differences, language backgrounds, or other factors may make writing or communication more challenging. Candidates are encouraged to use the tools that help them perform at their best. If you require an accommodation or would like to discuss support options during the application or interview process, please contact Dartmouth's ADA/504 Coordinator.
