Senior Knitwear Designer

My client is an established supplier to the UK High Street who is going from strength to strength . We are looking for True Knitwear Design experience, and someone who is hands on, innovative and trend led -with an excellent technical knowledge of knit and yarns. Also essentially an understanding /experience and design handwriting of the UK retail market across mainly women's Knitwear. This position is to be based full time in Leicestershire,  working within a busy design studio and fantastic onsite sample facilities. Senior Knitwear Designer - Ideal Experience & Skill Set -  5–8+ years of professional knitwear design experience Someone happy to be office based and to work closely with in house sample unit Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work, problem solving, and commercial awareness Experience collaborating directly with factories, mills, and yarn suppliers Strong command of layout, typography, colour theory, and composition Ability to turn complex ideas into clear, compelling visuals Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop) Ability to balance customer needs with business goals Confident presenting work to customers and clearly explaining design rationale Experience managing critical paths, sample rounds, and bulk approvals Someone driven and passionate with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and high productivity — someone who can help push the team forward. Confident presenting to clients at all levels. Strong commercial awareness and being up to date with current trends Flexibility to travel 1 day hybrid / work from home a possibility.
