Transport Administrator / Operations Coordinator – Day Shift

MAK Jobs is recruiting for a Transport Administrator / Operations Coordinator on behalf of our client based in Rugby, CV23.

This role is based at the front desk with direct interaction with drivers. It is ideally suited to organised, detail-oriented individuals who are committed to maintaining smooth and efficient operational processes.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00

Salary: £12.91 per hour

Overtime: £19.36 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

•  Engaging with drivers and managing front-desk operations

•  Booking and despatching drivers efficiently

•  Performing accurate data entry

•  Liaising with internal departments to ensure coordinated logistics processes

•  Preparing and maintaining detailed reports

•  Maintaining organised and accurate files and records

•  Providing support for daily operational activities within the transport department

•  Fostering and sustaining positive relationships with customers

•  Conducting thorough shift handovers to ensure operational continuity

•  Undertaking any additional administrative duties as required

Essential Requirements:

•  Previous administrative experience in transport, logistics, or a similar environment

•  Sound knowledge of goods-in and goods-out procedures

•  Strong numerical and organisational skills

•  Excellent customer service skills

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

•  Effective written and verbal communication skills
