About the Role

Mechanical Engineer (Waste Water) Location: South East London (Thames Water sites) Rate:£300 a day CIS Contract Type: 3 - 6 months About the Role An established and growing engineering services provider is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of pumps and associated equipment across domestic and commercial environments. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive engineer who is confident working independently, liaising with customers, and delivering high-quality technical solutions. Key Responsibilities ·Service, maintain, and install domestic and commercial pumps ·Repair and overhaul pumps and associated pumping equipment ·Support pump station design, installation, and maintenance projects ·Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults effectively ·Respond to and liaise with customer queries within the workshop and on-site ·Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety standards ·Travel extensively within the region as required Qualifications & Requirements ·Full UK Driving Licence (essential) ·17th or 18th Edition Electrical Qualification (essential) ·Strong mechanical and electrical competence ·General knowledge of pumps and pumping systems ·Experience in pump station design, installation, and maintenance ·Proactive, self-motivated approach to work ·Ability to work both independently and as part of a team ·Willingness to undertake additional training when required
