Early Years Teaching Assistant - Spalding

About the role:

justteachers are seeking a caring and adaptable Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Spalding on a part-time basis from September for short-term cover. This friendly school offers a nurturing and inclusive environment, with a strong focus on supporting young learners during their early development stages. The school also benefits from an on-site pre-school nursery, providing a varied and engaging setting with opportunities to support children across Early Years and Key Stage 1.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom and through play-based learning activities
• Assisting with early development, phonics, and foundational learning skills
• Opportunity to work within the on-site pre-school nursery setting
• Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities and organisation
• Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with young children, ideally within Early Years or KS1 settings
• A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning
• Flexibility to work across different age groups and learning environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one), along with relevant references and the right to work in the UK
