About the Role

<p>We are looking for a skilled <strong>Electricity Systems Design Specialist</strong> to join our team in <strong>Dallas, TX</strong>. The ideal candidate will have 7-12 years of experience in engineering consulting and a passion for delivering creative design solutions. This role involves working on various projects and collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Create designs for electrical and lighting systems, develop construction documents, and write technical reports</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Design electrical systems for different building types like industrial, educational, healthcare, and commercial facilities</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Analyze electrical systems using industry-standard software</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines throughout the design process</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Lead and assist in project activities, ensuring coordination among different disciplines</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Attend site visits and provide support during construction activities as needed</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Assist in business development and marketing initiatives when required</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Contribute to mentoring and knowledge sharing within the firm</p>
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Preferably hold a Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience with local codes, standards, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction is preferred</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Familiarity with local construction practices, contractors, and architects is a plus</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong knowledge of electrical and lighting system design for diverse building types</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience with medium-voltage distribution, generation, and protection systems preferred</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proficiency in SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling and analysis software</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Professional experience in the power industry, specializing in industrial, educational, healthcare, and commercial projects</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Working knowledge of electrical and energy codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, and related regulations</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience in lighting design is a bonus</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and related design tools is preferred</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate across multiple disciplines</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Willingness to occasionally travel for site visits</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Able to work in the office four (4) days per week</p>
