Art Teacher - Leigh

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Art Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Leigh from September 2026 and potentially for the full academic year. This is a long-term temporary position. The school provides a supportive, inclusive environment with a strong commitment to student progress and a positive, ambitious learning culture.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
• Create a safe, positive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development
• Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level
• Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons
• Two education or school-based references
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
