Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced
HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic partner to leadership and align human resources practices with business goals. This role supports workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and payroll while ensuring compliance with employment laws and safety regulations across
North Carolina, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Illinois.
We are looking for a
strategic, data?driven HR professional with strong business acumen, relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence leaders. The HRBP must exercise sound judgment, ensure legal compliance, and support a high-performance manufacturing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support operational goals, productivity, and continuous improvement
- Provide data-driven insights to influence workforce and people decisions
Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Lead full-cycle recruitment and retention efforts across all organizational levels
- Collaborate with leaders to identify skills, competencies, and workforce needs
- Develop tools and processes that deliver high-quality, cost-effective talent
Employee Relations & Workforce Support
- Provide daily HR support to manufacturing employees
- Manage employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, investigations, and dispute resolution
- Handle employee counseling, policy interpretation, onboarding, terminations, and exit interviews
Payroll, Compensation & Benefits
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and employee records
- Participate in annual salary planning and compensation updates
- Partner with CEO and VP of Finance on benefits renewals
- Administer benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance, LTD, 401(k), and voluntary plans
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws
- Manage FMLA, workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, OSHA reporting, and EEO charges
- File EEO-1 reports annually and maintain required compliance records
Training, Development & Engagement
- Develop and deliver training programs, including leadership development for front-line supervisors
- Support organizational development and change management initiatives
- Plan and coordinate company engagement events and employee recognition programs
Additional Duties
- Create and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or warehouse environments
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws in NC, CO, PA, and IL
Preferred Credentials
- PHR or SPHR certification
- Experience with organizational development and change management
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel between Newton, NC and Conover, NC for meetings and company business
