Our client is a well-established manufacturer serving the machine tool industry. They are now looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their rebuild department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on mechanical experience who is looking to develop their career, with progression potential into a supervisory role.
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the rebuild and assembly of specialist systems from technical drawings. This role will involve both mechanical and electrical tasks, including pump pipework, gate valves, and motor wiring. It is a practical, hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and working in a workshop environment.
Rebuild systems from technical drawings
Work with pump pipework, gate valves, and related components
Wire and install 3-phase motors
Complete wiring back to control panels
Essential:
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work at ground level
Some relevant workshop or fitting experience
Desirable:
Experience wiring 3-phase motors
Previous experience in a machine tool or manufacturing environment
