<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a dynamic infrastructure and structural repair team. This position is pivotal in securing and delivering complex projects across bridges, highways, and reinforced concrete structures.</p>
<p>You will lead the estimating function on key bids, ensuring accurate, competitive, and commercially sound submissions, while collaborating closely with operational and commercial teams. The role offers a flexible hybrid working model.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions</li>
<li>Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents</li>
<li>Develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with business objectives</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and delivery teams</li>
<li>Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations</li>
<li>Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions</li>
<li>Prepare and present tender adjudications to senior stakeholders</li>
<li>Monitor market trends, material costs, and supply chain factors</li>
<li>Support the production of technical and commercial bid documentation</li>
<li>Drive continuous improvement in estimating processes and systems</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in an estimating role within civil engineering or infrastructure</li>
<li>Strong background in bridges, highways, or concrete structural repair</li>
<li>Solid understanding of construction methods and cost planning</li>
<li>Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications</li>
<li>Highly numerate and commercially aware</li>
<li>Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office</li>
<li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable Skills & Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline</li>
<li>Experience delivering estimates on complex or high-value infrastructure projects</li>
<li>Familiarity with NEC or other standard forms of contract</li>
</ul>
