Our client is 100% family-owned and manages a portfolio of investments. The company invests in diverse national and international companies of which it owns more than 50% of the shares, but also has a portfolio of investments in start-ups as well as minority shareholdings. The whole Group employs approx. 20,000 people and generated sales of more than 4 billion euro last year The investment company uses both equity and debt to finance the investments in all portfolio companies.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a VP Tax with at least 15 years' experience obtained both in-house and at a Big4 company and with high leadership skills. As the Vice President Tax you will lead the current tax team, hire new tax employees, develop the global tax strategy and tax planning and execute it. You will report to the CFO directly and you will work partly in Germany and partly in the Netherlands. You have very good communication and presentation skills and very strong leadership skills.

Tasks & responsibilitiesVice President Tax

• Lead the Tax Team, manage/implement the global tax strategy.
• Manage the global tax planning and transfer pricing projects.
• Give tax advice on international and national projects such as restructurings and M&A projects.
• Analyse the tax position of the company. Manage tax accounting and tax audits and tax compliance.
• Liaise with external advisors and the tax authorities.
• Report to the CFO.

Profile Vice President Tax

• A  Master in Fiscal Law or Fiscal Economics preferably obtained in the Netherlands.
• Minimum of 15 years of international corporate income tax experience.
• Big4 and in-house tax experience. Preferably experience as a (Global) Head of Tax or VP Tax.
• Experience with transfer pricing.
• Analytical, strong leadershipp skills, creative VP Tax.
• Proactive, experience in project management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Hands-on approach. Good in English. Dutch and/or German is a plus.
