Platform Engineer

<p><strong>Platform Engineer &#8211; </strong><strong>CloudFormation or Terraform</strong></p> <p><strong>Leeds (Hybrid)</strong></p> <p><strong>Permanent</strong></p> <p><strong>&pound;70,000- &pound;75,000 + Benefits</strong><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Platform Engineer</strong> needed with active <strong><em>SC Security Clearance and </em></strong>good experience <strong>Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform. </strong>for a permanent position in <strong><em>Leeds </em></strong>(Hybrid). Start ideally in May 2026.</p> <p>A chance to work with a leading global IT transformation business specialising in delivering large-scale Government digital modernisation projects.</p> <p>Hybrid Working &ndash; 2 days/week remote (WFH), and 3 days/week working on-site from the <strong><em>Leeds </em></strong>office.</p> <p><strong>Key skills, experience + duties to include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience as a <strong>Senior Platform Engineer</strong> including a solid understanding of software engineering principles and their application.</li> <li><strong>Good understanding of cloud services (AWS) and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).</strong></li> <li><strong>Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform. </strong></li> <li>Experience of Scripting and pipeline automation, ei.e. Jenkins and GitHub Actions. &nbsp;</li> <li>Hands on CloudFormation scripting, troubleshooting and debugging.</li> <li>Experience of working closely with development and infrastructure teams to quickly understand requirements and implement solutions.</li> <li>Using Automation to improve development processes and optimise software delivery.</li> <li>Work closely with both engineers and product teams and including Designers, Product Managers and Analysts.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Chef, scripting and troubleshooting and with Python scripting and troubleshooting</li> <li>Experience with Jenkins pipelines (multibranch), deployments, groovy scripting</li> <li>Experience with Linux commands and knowledge of troubleshooting web services</li> <li>Experience with AWS services &ndash; EC2, NLB, API Gateway, ASG, etc.</li> <li><strong>Active <em><strong>SC</strong> Security Clearance used last 12 months. </em></strong></li> <li>Government, GDS, GOV.UK domain experience is strongly preferred.</li> <li><em>Benefits</em>: Salary <strong>70k-75k </strong>(DOE) + Hybrid + Bonus + Pension + 22 days holiday + BHs (rising to 25 days) + Death in Service + Health Care Plan + More.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
