About the Role

Engineering Technician - Role Overview Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for the operation of manufacturing processes and/or packaging line equipment. Maximise equipment performance, output, and reliability through preventive maintenance and breakdown support. Follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) during maintenance work. Keep workshops and engineering storage areas organised and tidy, ensuring proper storage of tools and spare parts. Communicate relevant information to engineering management and cross-functional teams, including reporting issues, potential risks, and estimated repair times for breakdowns. Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance of plant equipment. Carry out electrical servicing and mechanical installation tasks. Support site continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects. Skills & Experience Senior Trade Qualification or National Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar discipline). Approximately 3+ years of post-qualification experience preferred. Hands-on experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of high-speed filling, manufacturing, or packaging equipment is advantageous. Experience within a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment is beneficial. Willingness to work rotating shift schedules.
