About the Role
<p><b>Waste Connections is Hiring a Automated Side Load in Miami FL!</b></p><p></p><p><b>PAY: </b>$23-$25/hr DOE, working 50-55 hours a week.</p><p></p><p> A typical schedule is <b>Monday – Friday</b>, with occasional Saturdays as needed. The workweek is approximately 50-55 hours.</p><p></p><p><span class="emphasis-3"><b>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></span></p><ul><li><p>Safely operate a <b>Automated Side Load garbage truck</b> on specified routes to collect commercial solid waste.</p></li><li><p>Ensure accurate and timely collection and disposal of waste by operating hydraulic systems to empty containers.</p></li><li><p>Interact courteously with customers while performing the job.</p></li><li><p>Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order.</p></li><li><p>Ensure safety protocols are followed during collection and disposal.</p></li><li><p>Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading waste from front-load containers.</p></li><li><p>Maintain cleanliness of the truck and work area.</p></li><li><p>Follow route sheets and service each customer assigned by the dispatcher.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><span class="emphasis-3"><b>WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:</b></span></p><ul><li><p>Extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.</p></li><li><p>Work environment may involve some exposure to physical risks, including moving mechanical parts, requiring basic safety precautions.</p></li><li><p>Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including wet/humid conditions, as well as fumes and vibration.
