About the Role

Role Purpose Enable high-performing, value-driven delivery teams by embedding agile principles, establishing effective delivery rhythms, and removing impediments that slow progress. Act as a servant leader and facilitator to ensure predictable execution, continuous improvement, and alignment with business priorities. Key Responsibilities 1. Agile Delivery Facilitation Facilitate core agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives Ensure sprint goals are clear, achievable, and aligned to product priorities Support teams in breaking down work into well-defined, value-focused increments Track and improve delivery predictability, flow, and team velocity 2. Impediment Removal and Flow Optimisation Identify, escalate, and help resolve impediments that impact delivery timelines or quality Proactively manage cross-team dependencies and risks Promote transparency of blockers, risks, and trade-offs Encourage a culture of accountability and ownership within the team 3. Continuous Improvement and Agile Coaching Coach teams in agile principles, frameworks, and best practices Foster a culture of inspection and adaptation through effective retrospectives Drive improvements in planning accuracy, estimation practices, and delivery cadence Support the adoption of agile metrics and data-driven decision making 4. Stakeholder Collaboration and Alignment Partner closely with Product Owners and delivery leads to ensure backlog clarity and prioritisation Provide transparent reporting on progress, risks, and outcomes Facilitate alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders Support release planning and coordination across multiple teams when required 5. Governance and Delivery Standards Ensure adherence to agreed delivery processes, quality standards, and release discipline Promote best practices for documentation, definition of ready, and definition of done Support operational readiness by encouraging proper testing, monitoring, and handover practices Contribute to scaling agile practices across the organisation Success Measures (KPIs) Delivery Performance Sprint goal achievement rate Predictability of commitments versus delivery Reduction in unplanned work and carryover Team Health and Maturity Improvement in team engagement and collaboration Increased autonomy and ownership within teams Measurable improvements identified and implemented through retrospectives Flow and Quality Improved cycle time and lead time Stable velocity trends Reduction in defects linked to delivery process issues Stakeholder Outcomes Clear visibility of delivery status and risks Positive feedback from Product Owners and business stakeholders Qualifications Required Experience and Skills Proven experience facilitating agile delivery within software, data, or technology environments Strong understanding of agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban Experience managing cross-team dependencies and coordinating delivery across multiple workstreams Ability to coach teams and individuals in agile principles and continuous improvement Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills Experience working with delivery metrics and agile reporting tools Nice to Have Experience working in AI, data, or platform-based delivery environments Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Experience supporting scaled agile environments Working Style Servant leader mindset with a strong focus on enabling teams Calm and structured in complex or fast-paced environments Pragmatic, outcome-oriented, and focused on delivering measurable value Comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders
