About the Role
Are you studying Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, Speech & Language Therapy or a related discipline and want experience that genuinely fits your passion for SEND?
We’re recruiting part-time SEND Teaching Assistants across SEND provisions in Bristol and South Gloucestershire where small class sizes, sensory spaces and highly personalised approaches help pupils with autism, speech and language needs, SEMH and learning differences thrive.
Your key duties will include:
Supporting pupils with differentiated tasks in small groups and 1:1
Implementing structured routines, visual timetables and sensory breaks
Encouraging communication and social-interaction skills
Supporting emotional regulation throughout the school day
Reflecting on pupil progress and contributing to team reviews
What makes this role meaningful:
Real classroom responsibility and interaction, not just observation
Ability to complete a placement year with purpose
Work that directly supports pupils with additional needs to access their education
Professional development:
You will join the Axcis Academy CPD programme, with access to online courses and tailored SEND training via The National College to help you build competence and confidence before you graduate.
