Role Description As a Mechanical Layout Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the next generation of handheld tools, both battery‑powered and petrol‑powered. Your responsibilities include: Establishing and developing the product architecture as the framework for new products Designing and developing mechanical components Leading layout meetings within projects Driving work within Robust Design and managing mechanical requirements Working in Catia V5 (experience is an advantage) and the PLM system TeamCenter Defining and controlling mechanical interfaces through responsibility for the CAD skeleton Building and managing the product’s BOM structures Cross‑functional collaboration with lab, design, production, and R&D Your Profile We are looking for someone who is not only technically skilled but also thrives in a collaborative and open culture. To succeed in this role, you are: Experienced in mechanical design – preferably with five years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar Fluent in English and Swedish You are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and solving problems together. You bring an unpretentious, driven, creative mindset and a strong curiosity to learn and grow. You feel comfortable in a fast‑changing environment where you take ownership of your tasks and deliverables. Location Our team is based in Huskvarna, where we strongly believe in the value of working closely together.
