About the Role

Are you a passionate Qualified Social Worker looking for an exciting opportunity within the Child in Care Team? We are currently seeking a dedicated QSW to join our team in the picturesque areas of Whitstable and Broadstairs, offering a competitive rate of £38 per hour (umbrella). As a Qualified Social Worker in the Child in Care Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Providing ongoing support and advocacy for children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are upheld.
  • Working closely with foster carers and residential staff to promote the welfare and development of children.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and adherence to statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and families, particularly in a Child in Care setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
