Established in 2001, the business has achieved a track record of consistent growth and is now embarking on an ambitious growth plan which includes the expansion of our premises.</p> <p><b>The Role</b></p> <p>Working as a Delivery Driver carrying out the following tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Using a Forklift Truck for loading and unloading &#8211; training can be provided.</li> <li>Checking items against delivery notes and putting stock away.</li> <li>Checking quality against BOM / Drawing and getting fixing kits ready.</li> <li>Checking individual components and loading into stillages.</li> <li>Loading up vehicles ready for deliveries.</li> <li>Delivering industrial doors nationwide.</li> <li>Early starts for deliveries when required to meet Engineers onsite nationwide.</li> <li>Providing cover for other Drivers as and when required.</li> </ul> <p><b>The Package</b></p> <p>As a Delivery Driver, you&rsquo;ll be working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, although flexibility may be needed on occasion.</p> <p>You&rsquo;ll benefit from:</p> <ul> <li>Permanent contract.</li> <li>Salary in the region of &pound;28,000 to &pound;29,000, with the level dependent on experience.</li> <li>Paid overtime available from time to time.</li> <li>Contributory pension scheme.</li> <li>28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays.</li> <li>Paid leave over Christmas during annual shut down period.</li> <li>Private health care.</li> </ul> <p><b>Our Requirements &#8211; General Labourer / Delivery Driver:</b></p> <ul> <li>As a minimum, aged 21 to meet our company vehicle insurance requirements.</li> <li>Full UK driving licence with C2 entitlement if possible &#8211; for insurance purposes either a clean licence or no more than three points maximum will be considered.</li> <li>Reside within a 15-mile radius of our premises on Warrington Road, Industrial Estate in Wigan (Greater Manchester).</li> <li>Strong work ethic and reliable.</li> <li>Flexible attitude towards tasks.</li> <li>Take pride in own work.</li> <li>Ability to work well as part of a team, take direction, and work on own initiative where appropriate.</li> </ul> <p>Although not essential, a valid Forklift Truck licence would be advantageous, although training can be provided.</p> <p><b>How to Apply</b></p> <p>All applications for this General Labourer / Delivery Driver are to be submitted online, and strictly no agency calls or agency CV submissions.</p> <p>Shortlisting of applications and interviews for this role will take place while the advert is live; the advert will close once the successful candidate is found.
