This presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive safety professional who can operate autonomously, establish rapport with on-site teams, and uphold a solid safety culture across multiple assignments.</p> <p>This position will report to the Safety Supervisor. A company-provided vehicle and fuel will be available for site inspections.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Inspect construction sites to assess safety protocols, specifications, and regulatory requirements</li> <li>Aid in the development and upkeep of Job Safety Analysis documentation and site safety blueprints</li> <li>Monitor adherence to OSHA regulations and proactively identify potential safety hazards</li> <li>Conduct investigations into incidents, compile findings, and contribute to corrective action plans</li> <li>Clearly communicate safety standards to supervisors, crews, and subcontractors</li> <li>Maintain safety records utilizing Excel, Microsoft Office, and contractor compliance platforms</li> <li>Provide assistance for special projects and daily safety requirements with minimal oversight</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Mandatory CHST certification in place</li> <li>Highly desirable to possess OSHA 510 and OSHA 30 Construction training</li> <li>Hands-on experience in construction safety within the field</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of OSHA construction safety regulations</li> <li>Capability to work independently with minimal supervision</li> <li>Professional, composed, and pragmatic communication skills</li> <li>Proficient in computer operations, particularly Excel and online compliance systems</li> <li>Willingness to travel regularly to construction sites in Fort Wayne and surrounding areas</li> </ul> <p>This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on-site, establish connections with work crews, and assume responsibility for safety in active construction settings.
