BUSINESS UNIT
At HRS we understand Finance as a value-enabling function as it is an essential ingredient to our business success.
In order to ensure the efficient financial management and financial control necessary to support all business activities, it comprises all major related responsibilities: from Financial and Cash Flow Management, Accounting, Advising and longer-term financing, Tax Management, Investment Management, to Purchasing, Controlling, Budgeting and Forecasting as well as Financial Reporting and Analysis to assisting and challenging the CEO, Business Unit Leaders and Managers in making key strategic decisions.
The department is set up as a shared service for the HRS Group with a cross-location team of around 50 experts, headed by the CFO and his Management Team, working on standardized workflows to increase efficiency on the one hand and apply state of the art decision-making tools and principle-based recommendations to foster organizational resilience in times of rapid change.
POSITION
As a Business Unit Controller, you own the financial steering for key areas of the HRS business, partnering closely with Product House teams and supporting topline steering for Enterprise Solutions.
You act as a strategic finance partner to leadership, translating financial data into actionable insights that support product investments, commercial performance, and sustainable growth.
Working across finance and business stakeholders, you drive financial transparency, forecasting accuracy, and performance management.
CHALLENGE
Own financial steering and performance transparency for Product House functions, supporting investment decisions and cost efficiency
Support topline steering for Enterprise Solutions, providing insights into revenue development and business performance
Partner with business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
Monitor financial and operational KPIs and translate data into actionable business insights
Lead monthly performance reviews and variance analysis with business stakeholders
Improve forecasting accuracy and continuously enhance financial planning processes
Support cross-functional initiatives and projects that drive operational and financial performance
FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...
2–5 years of experience in business controlling, FP&A, or finance business partnering
Experience in technology, SaaS, or product-driven organizations is highly valued
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect financial data to business impact
Ability to build credibility and challenge stakeholders constructively
Strong skills in Excel and financial analysis tools, experience with BI environments is a plus
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Navision
Fluent German and English
