Customer Strategy & Marketing
Our Customer Strategy & Marketing teams focus on acquiring new customers and gaining share with existing customers. This 3-year rotational program engages early career talent in building skills across marketing channels, including digital and offline channels, operations, creative, analytics and more.
By effectively planning, executing and reporting on campaigns, participants will develop marketing activations and implement projects that are on-time, on-budget and drive the desired outcomes to influence business goals, such as revenue, return on ad spend, site performance, new customer acquisitions and brand awareness lift.

Finance
For over 20 years, the Finance Development Program has equipped early career professionals with the financial, analytical and critical thinking skills required to become the next generation of financial experts and organizational leaders. Our three-year rotational program offers broad, cross-functional exposure in corporate finance through a series of key experiences and provides the support you need to launch a successful career in Finance. Opportunities exist across:
Controllership – Accounting and tax
Treasury – Risk management, capital markets and working capital management
Financial Shared Services – Transactional processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections
Auditing – Financial, operational and compliance process audits and facilitation of enterprise risk management
Continuous Improvement – Process improvement, data solutions and governance, data visualization and data science
Financial Planning – Enterprise planning and forecasting
Operations Finance – Partnering with business units to develop insights on growth and productivity

Merchandising & Supplier Management
To succeed in the maintenance, repair, and operations industry, Grainger has to provide customers with the products and solutions they need to solve problems fast.
Early career professionals in our Merchandising & Supplier Management Rotational Program work on creating a cohesive and seamless customer experience that provides solutions to industry challenges, including what products to sell, how to organize the products, what information to present to customers and how to maintain strong relationships with suppliers who manufacture the products. With three, 12-month rotations, participants gain experience across product information management, supplier management and operational excellence.

Sales
Our Sales Accelerator Program provides well-rounded development for recent college graduates. In this 6-month program, participants experience an intentional set of learning experiences, including how to acquire new customers, demonstrate the value of Sales & Services functions and selling Grainger’s value to customers.
Upon completion, your Grainger career will continue in an outside sales territory where you’ll apply your skills for continued success.

Supply Chain
Supply Chain Rotational Development Program (SCRDP):
Grainger's best-in-class Supply Chain works to reduce the time, lower the cost, and expand the methods in which products get to customers. Our SCRDP provides recent graduates broad and well-rounded learning experiences across multiple functions that help them develop technical, analytical and professional skills. These opportunities allow participants to gain in-depth knowledge of the business and add value throughout the organization.
The program consists of three, 12-month rotations that help participants understand how a best-in-class supply chain organization operates. SCRDP Analysts gain experience with business analytics, continuous improvement practices and leading teams in front-line supply chain operations.
Areas of focus include inventory planning, transportation, customer analytics, supplier performance management, distribution center leadership and more.

Technology Development Program:
The Technology Development Program enables early career team members to gain experience with a variety of tech stacks across business units. Each engineer or analyst participates in 2 or 3 rotations, exposing them to a variety of teams and leaders within the Grainger Technology Group.
Areas of focus include data engineering and visualization, cloud infrastructure engineering, information security, mobile and web development, search, merchandising, analytics, and more.
