About the Role
<p class="x_MsoNormal" data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Anderson Knight are seeking a qualified and experienced accountant to join our clients growing finance team on an exciting 6-month project-based role, with potential to transition into a permanent position. <p class="x_MsoNormal"><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul type="disc">
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Lead and manage the implementation of grant-related activities within the business, including application processes, compliance monitoring, liaising with auditors, and managing claim submissions and cash recovery.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Work closely with the Head of Business Planning & Analysis to ensure appropriate financial modelling is in place and support the business in submitting new grant claims.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Provide key support to the finance team on ongoing R&D, fundraising, and forecasting processes.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Contribute to various finance and business optimisation projects as directed by the CFO.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Support BAU finance workstreams, assisting both the Head of Group Finance and Head of BP&A with day-to-day activities and projects.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Offer additional transaction support and provide holiday cover for key finance team functions.</li>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><b>Qualifications & Experience:</b></p>
<ul type="disc">
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or CA) or equivalent.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Strong analytical skills and a creative problem-solving approach.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Proficient in Excel, with experience in basic financial modelling.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">A proactive self-starter with the ability to manage projects independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">Confident communicator with the ability to present financial insights to non-financial teams.</li>
<li class="x_MsoNormal">A team player with a collaborative approach, comfortable working in a small, hands-on finance team.</li>
</ul>
