About the Role
SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time Location: BH10, Bournemouth
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference every day?
We are looking for a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our friendly and welcoming mainstream primary schools in BH10. This is a full-time role working 1:1 with a child who requires additional support, helping them access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting a child’s academic and personal development.
The Role
Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support learning and development
Adapt activities to ensure the pupil can access the curriculum
Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
Help create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
Experience working with SEN children (in schools or similar settings)
A patient, compassionate and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children to succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
