A leading pediatric healthcare organization in Central Florida is seeking a nationally respected pediatric neurologist with significant expertise in pediatric epilepsy to serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Neurology.<br><br>This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished clinical leader to guide the continued growth of a comprehensive pediatric neuroscience program. The Division Chief will help establish the strategic direction for pediatric neurology, expand clinical programs, recruit additional physicians, advance education and research, and strengthen collaboration between pediatric neurology and pediatric neurosurgery.<br><br>The ideal candidate will be a visionary, decisive leader who is consistently looking five to ten years ahead and is motivated to elevate an already successful program to an even greater level of regional and national distinction. The successful candidate will also be an exceptional clinician who values direct patient care and understands that clinical excellence is the foundation of a strong program.<br><br>Comprehensive Pediatric Neuroscience Program<br>The pediatric neuroscience program provides multidisciplinary care for children with a broad range of neurological, developmental, behavioral, and neurosurgical conditions.<br>The program brings together pediatric neurology, pediatric neurosurgery, neuropsychology, behavioral health and development, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and other pediatric specialties.<br><br>Clinical programs address the full spectrum of pediatric neurological conditions, including:<br>Epilepsy<br>Headaches<br>Developmental disorders<br>Cerebral palsy<br>Neuromuscular disorders<br>Movement disorders<br>Neuroimmunological diseases<br>Neurocutaneous syndromes<br>Spasticity<br>Congenital brain and spinal conditions<br><br>The multidisciplinary team includes pediatric specialists, neuropsychologists, geneticists, dietitians, rehabilitation specialists, social workers, specialty nurses, EEG technologists, and other dedicated pediatric professionals.<br><br>Nationally Recognized Pediatric Epilepsy Program<br>The incoming Division Chief will have a significant role in leading and expanding an established pediatric epilepsy program with a strong regional referral base. The program provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children with complex and medically refractory epilepsy and offers a broad range of medical, dietary, device-based, and surgical treatment options.<br><br>Program capabilities include:<br>Advanced EEG and neurodiagnostic services<br>Comprehensive epilepsy surgery evaluation<br>Multidisciplinary epilepsy conferences<br>Pediatric epilepsy surgery<br>Ketogenic diet therapy<br>Vagus nerve stimulation<br>Advanced neuroimaging and neuropsychological testing<br>Genetic evaluation and testing<br>Collaboration with pediatric neurosurgery<br>Treatment of complex and medically refractory epilepsy<br><br>The Division Chief will work closely with pediatric neurosurgery leadership and epilepsy surgery specialists.
