About the role:
Justteachers are working with a Bradford Secondary School to appoint a Complex Needs LSA. This role is to start in September 2026 on a full-time and long-term basis.
The Complex Needs LSA will work with students who have a range of needs and work at a slower pace than their peers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide multi-sensory teaching approaches
- Use physical objects and visual aids to support teaching
- Use ‘working walls’, checklists and graphic organisers to reduces memory load
- Provide 1:1 short and daily sessions to target specific skills
- Make relevant environmental adjustments for individual students
- Provide tailored support to students with complex needs
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children with complex needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory needs, autism, or medical needs
- Understanding of inclusive practice and strategies to support pupils with a wide range of additional needs
- Experience delivering 1:1 or small-group interventions under the guidance of teachers or specialists
- Ability to follow individual education plans (IEPs), behaviour support plans, and care plans
