This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, dependable and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who wants to help young people overcome barriers to education and make meaningful progress. The setting supports pupils aged 10–18 , with candidates who have experience of SEND, SEMH, additional learning needs or specialist education particularly encouraged to apply. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and the wider education team to help pupils access their learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills. You will provide individual and small-group support throughout the school day, helping pupils participate in lessons and overcome barriers that may affect their education. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support during lessons and learning activities Help pupils understand and complete classroom tasks Encourage students to remain focused, motivated and engaged Support young people with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs Provide practical assistance and adapt support to individual needs Promote independence, confidence and positive learning habits Develop positive and trusting relationships with pupils Work closely with teachers and other support professionals Follow individual learning and support plans Help maintain a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment Encourage positive participation in lessons and wider school activities Share relevant observations and pupil progress with teaching staff Requirements The successful candidate will ideally have: Previous experience working with children or young people Experience in a school, ...
