Working Title: Instructor of Mathematics Institution: Minnesota State University, Moorhead Classification Title: State University Faculty Bargaining Unit / Union: 209: Inter Faculty Organization City: Moorhead FLSA: Job Exempt Full Time / Part Time: Full time Employment Condition: Unclassified - Limited Academic (Fixed Term) Salary Range: $50,065.00 - $86,316.00 Responsibilities: The incumbent would be expected to teach introductory mathematics and statistics courses. Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs. Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field. Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities. Engage in service to the University and community. Salary Range: $50,065 - $88,381 annually. Minimum Qualifications: Earned Masters in Mathematics, Statistics or related field by time of appointment. Must meet Higher Learning Commission [HLC] faculty credentialing guidelines [e.g. have 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline the faculty is teaching]. Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching. Preferred Qualifications: Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching. Doctorate in Mathematics, Statistics or related field. Classroom experience teaching developmental and general mathematics courses as well as introductory statistics courses. Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students of diverse backgrounds, including sensitivity to their needs and concerns. Other Requirements: The successful candidate must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins.
