As a Cloud Security Consultant, you will be working for our client within the cybersecurity and cloud platform sector, supporting our client's cloud cyber security initiatives. You'll be instrumental in enhancing security postures, designing innovative solutions, and promoting best practices in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Your main responsibilities: Lead activities related to planning, designing, and executing projects utilizing Python web development frameworks such as Flask and Django. Submit recommendations to improve the effectiveness, performance, usability, and value of existing cloud security solutions. Collaborate across teams to deliver shared objectives and eliminate redundancies. Contribute to cloud security assessments, security scoring initiatives, and governance baselines. Liaise with cloud platform engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to align security practices with our client’s mandatory controls. Continually assess and improve the security posture and maturity of cloud environments. Identify opportunities for automation and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and security controls. You're ideal for this role if you have: At least 5 years of experience securing cloud assets across major cloud providers. Extensive cybersecurity experience managing large asset estates, preferably in cloud environments. Proven knowledge of security governance, IT security controls, and configuration baselines. Experience assessing vulnerabilities using industry frameworks such as CVSS. Strong background developing web applications with Flask, Django, or FastAPI. Experience in developing unit, integration, and feature tests, establishing automation coverage. Extensive experience working with data sources like PowerBI, SQL databases, cloud APIs, and enterprise tools. Practical knowledge of secret management tools such as Hashicorp Vault. Ability to adapt to changing environments and work independently or collaboratively. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. It is a strong plus if you have: Recognised cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or cloud-specific security credentials. Knowledge of Wiz CNAPP applications, PowerBI, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins. Containerization experience with Docker. Skills in additional programming languages besides Python. Language Required for the role: Fluent English, both written and spoken.
