GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Teacher to work in a school setting in Doncaster (DN6).
This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is committed to inclusive education and making a real difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. As a SEND Teacher, you will deliver personalised lessons, support students with a range of needs, and help them build confidence, independence, and academic progress.
Main Responsibilities of a SEND Teacher:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet SEND needs
Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support individual learning requirements
Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
Implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear feedback
Work closely with teaching assistants and SEN staff to provide effective support
Promote positive behaviour and support students with emotional regulation
Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals regarding student progress
To be a SEND Teacher, what you should have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with students with SEND is essential
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and SEND practices
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A patient, flexible, and supportive approach
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
