Please No Agencies.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><h3><strong>Position Summary:</strong></h3><p> </p><div> <p><span><span>The Engineering Estimator will be responsible for Estimating a wide range of fabrication work from Structural Steel, Simple Bridge, Heavy Structural, Railroad Catenary and related Structures, including but not limited to sub-stations, railings, and misc. carbon, stainless and aluminum fabrications.</span></span><span><span>  </span></span><span><span>The Engineering Estimator familiarizes themselves with the project specifications and bid documents in preparation of the estimate.</span></span><span><span>  </span></span><span><span>The Engineering Estimator will also be responsible for soliciting pricing from vendors while estimating and negotiating with vendors for buyouts when awarded projects.</span></span><span><span> </span></span></p> </div><p> </p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3><p> </p><div> <ul> <li><span>Forecasting of job requirements and managing multiple projects simultaneously</span></li> <li><span>Works well with and collaborates with shop personnel and shop foreman in job management through completion</span></li> <li><span>Manage projects with material needs, equipment, and personnel hours.</span></li> <li><span>Continue to follow Safety and Quality guidelines</span></li> <li><span>Manage PO’s and change orders through project completion</span></li> <li><span>Meets with customers and vendors to review jobs and establish RFI’s as required.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> </div><p> </p><h3><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h3><p> </p><div> <ul> <li><span>Experience in the Steel industry</span></li> <li><span>Ability to read and understand contract drawings and specifications</span></li> <li><span>5 or more years of knowledge in procurement of materials and coordination of quotes from vendors</span></li> <li><span>Computer Proficiency is required, including Microsoft Office (Excel, WORD, PowerPoint), and the ability to work remotely via laptop, iPad, or iPhone as required.</span></li> <li><span>Experience in Estimating</span></li> <li><span>Experience with Take-off software.</span> <ul> <li><span>Bluebeam, OST, or another similar software is acceptable.</span></li> <li><span>Knowledge of AISC standards and industry code</span></li> <li><span>Great teamwork and communication skills</span></li> <li><span>Works independently with a great work ethic</span></li> </ul> </li> </ul> </div><p> </p><h3><strong><span>Other Information:</span></strong></h3><p>
