<p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><strong>Purpose of Position</strong> </span><br><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">The manufacturing engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. The manufacturing engineer is responsible for owning, evaluating, and optimizing current and new processes to drive efficiencies in production using lean tools. They must design and implement manufacturing methods and processes that continually improve employee safety, product quality, and labor productivity goals and objectives for both new and existing products.</span></p><p style="text-align:center;"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">This <strong><u>on-site</u></strong> role is located in <strong>Altoona, Pennsylvania</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><strong>Key Responsibilities .</strong></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Provides necessary support within the printed circuit board assembly area to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Troubleshoots manufacturing problems and implements timely sustainable solutions to maintain continuity of production flow. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Develop and debug circuit board assembly machine programs for the following equipment:</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Stencil Printers </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o SMT (Surface Mount Technology) </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Reflow Ovens </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o AOI Machines </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Selective Solder</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Axial Insertion </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Wave Solder</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) Wash </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Participates on new product development projects. Interfaces with other departments during development process to ensure design for safety, quality, manufacturability, and cost position. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Identifies capital equipment needs and makes recommendations to management.</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Assists in developing justification of capital equipment. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Prepares design concept drawings, cost estimates, and implementation schedules for production equipment and tooling. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Trains and qualifies production operators ensuring that they can perform their job safely and meet product quality and labor productivity standards. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Reviews and recommends changes to mechanical drawings and process documentation. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Initiates engineering change requests and material deviations to improve manufacturability of products and processes.</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Interfaces with vendors and outside sales personnel to evaluate, cost estimate, and select purchase parts and production equipment. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Participates on or leads improvement workshops (Kaizens). </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Develop, update, and maintain product bill of materials, routing, and cost structure information in ERP system. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Other Duties as assigned.</span><br><br><br> </p><p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><strong>Background and Skills </strong></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, preferably Industrial, Electrical, or Electro-mechanical Engineering.</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• At least three (2) years of specifically related experience required. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Knowledge and experience with lean tools and principles would be beneficial. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">• Proficiency with the following software and machines:</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o GerbTool – Stencil Development and ordering and PCB layer design review.</span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Aegis – SMT machine assembly programs, work instruction. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o SOLIDWORKS – Preferred for fixture / tooling development. </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Stencil Printers </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machines </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Reflow Ovens </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o AOI Machines </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Selective Solder </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Axial Insertion </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o Wave Solder </span><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">o PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) Wash</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">#LI-LP1 #LI-Onsite #findyourpath #fuelyourpassion</span><br><br><br><span style="color:#000000;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;">Vontier partners with you and your family on your health and wellness journey.
