General Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing all processes and pieces relating to the maintenance and distribution of all necessary equipment and fleet at designated warehouse location.
Principal duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee handling and maintenance of receiving, warehousing and distribution operations
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Produce reports and statistics regarding all equipment as requested
- Lead receiving, inspection, and verification of incoming telecom materials and equipment
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking using warehouse management systems (WMS) or spreadsheets
- Organize and maintain warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval
- Stage and prepare materials for telecom construction crews (fiber, conduit, handholes, hardware, etc.)
- Coordinate outbound shipments and deliveries to job sites
- Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits
- Ensures compliance with health and safety legislation
- Overseeing a wide range of warehouse duties for assigned functions or program areas, duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information.
- Responsible for zero asset losses.
- Ensures all necessary losses, damage and information is communicated timely to meet the expectations of the customer and company.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- Excellent communication skills
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
