About the Role
Meyer Utility Structures is searching for Receiving Coordinator for our new location in Clinton, IL. Receiving Coordinator manages incoming steel, hardware, and consumables, ensuring accurate inventory, inspecting for damage and coordinating documentation like Material Test Reports (MTRs). You will dispatch someone to unload trucks, maintain organized storage, and use forklifts/overhead cranes to move materials, playing a critical role in shop efficiency.

What You’ll Do:
Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips to confirm quantity, size, and grade
Inspect raw materials and components for damage, defects, or deviations from specifications
Label, log, and store materials in designated storage areas; perform cycle counts.
Process and file Material Test Reports (MTRs)to ensure traceability of steel
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock and warehouse area, adhering to 5S and OSHA standard.
Coordinate with production planners, project managers, and vendors to resolve discrepancies
Measure success by certain key performance indicators (KPSs) such as receiving accuracy percentage, timeliness of processing inventory and reduction of material damage during handling
What You’ll Need:
1–3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a steel, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
Certified or willing to be certified to operate forklifts and/or overhead cranes
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) or ERP inventory software
Familiarity with structural steel shapes, plates, and welding consumables
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
Experience with overhead cranes
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
High School Diploma or equivalent
