Housekeeper job – near Macclesfield, Cheshire – min 3 days per week up to full-time considered

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and discreet Housekeeper to care for a substantial period property near Macclesfield, Cheshire. This beautiful private residence is used on a part-time basis and requires a high standard of housekeeping, presentation, and attention to detail to ensure the home is always beautifully maintained and ready for the family’s arrival.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering hands-on housekeeping to an exceptional standard, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general household presentation
• Changing beds and ensuring bedrooms are beautifully prepared
• Cleaning and maintaining bathrooms to a high standard
• Running errands and supporting the smooth day-to-day care of the residence
• Monitoring household maintenance requirements and reporting any issues promptly
• Liaising confidently and professionally with tradespeople and contractors when required

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a private household or similarly high-standard environment. You will be discreet, trustworthy, highly organised, and confident working independently. A proactive approach, excellent attention to detail, and pride in maintaining a beautifully presented home are essential.

Requirements

• Excellent previous housekeeping experience
• Strong checkable references
• Enhanced DBS check required
• A discreet, professional, and reliable approach
• High standards of presentation and attention to detail
• To be located in the local area

Hours - The role is offered on a minimum of 3 days per week, with the potential to increase to full-time hours depending on the successful candidate.

Salary - £18–£20 per hour, depending on experience.
