You ensure accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting and provide accounting support to various parts of the organization in Poland and across the wider AniCura Group. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Own day-to-day accounting activities for clinic operations in Poland</li><li>Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes</li><li>Prepare, review, and post journal entries in Oracle and group reporting systems (including inventory and bad debt)</li><li>Perform sales reconciliations, VAT settlements, and balance sheet reconciliations (BlackLine)</li><li>Partner closely with Controlling on financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts</li><li>Act as a trusted accounting advisor to clinic managers in Poland</li><li>Coordinate with external  accounting service providers and verify delivered services</li><li>Support statutory financial statements and tax reporting together with external advisors</li><li> Serve as the main point of contact for auditors, local authorities, and Group Finance stakeholders</li><li>Ensure compliance with AniCura Group accounting standards and support implementation of new policies</li><li>Monitor local accounting and regulatory developments in cooperation with advisors and SSC leadership</li><li>Lead, coach, and support junior accountants</li><li>Participating in ERP change and improvement projects</li><li>Contribute to ad-hoc tasks and continuous improvement initiatives</li></ul>Summary of the Role:<ul><li>Job Title: Senior Accountant Poland</li><li>Department: Finance</li><li>Reports To: Head of Accounting CEE</li><li>Location : Warsaw, Poland (Mars Office)</li><li>Contract: Full-time</li><li>Languages: Fluent English and German is required</li></ul>Education & Professional Qualifications:<ul><li>Academic degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar field </li></ul>Experience:<ul><li> 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance within large, matrix organizations, Shared Service Centers and/or audit firms </li><li>Proven experience in leading GL accounting processes, month/year-end closings, and working with Oracle ERP </li></ul><ul><li>Able to work under time pressure, with advanced MS Office / Excel skills </li></ul><ul><li>Experience in coordinating Accountants is considered a plus </li><li>Experience working within Oracle ERP is a must </li><li>Advanced MS Office/Excel abilities </li></ul>As a person we believe you are:<ul><li>Comfortable in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with shifting demands and able to effectively prioritize competing tasks </li><li>Analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. </li><li>With hands on and can-do approach </li><li>An empathetic personality with interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, used to work in a matrix organization </li><li>Likely having a passion for pets </li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Manages Complexity</li><li>Ensures Accountability</li><li>Communicates Effectively</li><li>Balances Stakeholders</li></ul>Interested?For more information, please contact Lekya Kanamarlapudi, Group Corporate Recruitment Partner, who will be happy to tell you more about the role and recruitment process.
