Cyber Security Lead - Edinburgh | Permanent | Hybrid - £80,000 Are you a passionate and experienced cyber security professional ready to step into a leadership role within a forward thinking, tech-driven organisation? Change Digital’s client is looking for a Cyber Security Lead to join a collaborative and high performing team in Edinburgh. As a Cyber Security Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and mentoring a small team of cyber security engineers. You’ll drive strategic security initiatives, optimise our Microsoft 365 security tooling, and be the go-to technical expert on all thing’s cyber security. This is a hands on leadership position where you’ll lead by example while helping shape our cyber strategy and protect our growing digital environment. 🧩 What You’ll Be Doing Lead, mentor, and grow a team of cyber security engineers. Set and manage project roadmaps and tasks using Azure DevOps. Oversee and support cyber-related service desk tickets, ensuring SLAs are met. Maximise the value from our Microsoft licensing (including Defender and Azure security products). Act as technical SME and escalation point for cyber security issues. Lead cyber security involvement in cross-functional projects. Drive continuous improvement and help maintain ISO-27001 and Cyber Essentials accreditations. Deliver internal training sessions, support security audits, and respond to vendor due diligence requests. Evaluate emerging technologies and lead implementation of new security tools and processes. 🛠️ Key Technologies M365 Security Stack (Defender, Azure) Cloudflare, Secure File Transfer, DLP, Web Application Filtering Vulnerability Management, PKI, DNS, Firewalls, Remote Access, Email Gateways Security Audits & Governance (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials) 💡 Desirable Knowledge Azure DevOps (Scrum, pipelines) MITRE ATT&CK Framework PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, YAML scripting ITIL-based service desk supervision Exchange Online, Microsoft OS (Desktop/Server) Networking principles and cloud security architecture 🎯 What You’ll Bring Experience managing or mentoring cyber security teams. Strong technical foundation in enterprise-level IT security. Track record in delivering complex IT security projects end-to-end. Excellent communication skills—able to bridge the gap between tech and business. An appetite for continuous learning and a passion for security best practices.
