Abatec is currently recruiting for an established manufacturing company operating within the construction and modular sector. The company specialises in producing high-quality, ready-to-install units for residential and commercial projects, delivering innovative solutions to the construction industry.

• Temp-to-perm contract after 6 weeks with long-term career prospects
• £12.71 per hour, with the potential to increase to £13.50 after the training
• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm

The Role

Due to business growth and increased demand, Production / Assembly Operatives are required to join the production team in Highbridge, Somerset. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role within a structured and supportive manufacturing environment, offering skill development and long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out assembly and manufacturing tasks, including pod units
• Safe and efficient use of hand and power tools
• Support production and warehouse operations
• Manual handling and other physical tasks
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures and quality standards

About You

• Previous manufacturing or production experience is desirable but not essential
• Comfortable using hand tools and basic machinery
• Practical DIY skills or hands-on experience
• Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Reliable, committed, and able to work well as part of a team
• Physically capable of performing manual tasks in a busy environment
