Children’s Care Worker - Preston

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a Children’s Care Worker to join a vibrant children’s residential care home in the Preston area on a long‑term basis.
The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.

The home provides a warm, stable and therapeutic environment where children are supported to build resilience, develop life skills and achieve positive outcomes through compassionate, consistent care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting children with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour
• Building trusting relationships that promote safety, independence and personal growth
• Working collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver personalised care plans

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant qualifications or experience within children’s residential care
• Proven experience supporting children or young people with additional or complex needs
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, trauma‑informed practice and behaviour support
• A full UK driving licence (preferred depending on home location)
• Two education or care‑based references
