As a Senior Generative AI Data Integration Engineer – Cloud & Microservices, you will be working for our client, a forward-thinking financial industry leader committed to delivering ethical and responsible Generative AI experiences. You will be instrumental in expanding their Data Integration team, enabling the increased utilization of data by AI models, unlocking new insights, and driving innovative solutions that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. This role offers a unique chance to shape cutting-edge AI applications with a focus on ethical practices and state-of-the-art technology. Your main responsibilities: Design and develop data transfer pipelines and microservices to support Generative AI solutions. Source and integrate data from various systems used by AI models, ensuring seamless data flow. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize microservices within the overall GenAI architecture. Utilize technologies such as Python (FastAPI), MongoDB, Hadoop, Starburst, and cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) to build scalable solutions. Optimize data stores and incorporate RAGs, Context Engineering, and evaluation systems to improve AI performance. Maintain and improve data security and compliance standards in line with best practices. You're ideal for this role if you have: 6+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, or AI-related fields. Strong proficiency in Python, particularly with FastAPI and microservice development. Hands-on experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and data virtualization tools like Starburst. Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP and Azure) and data processing frameworks such as Hadoop. Understanding of RAGs, Context Engineering, and AI evaluation systems. Experience working in a hybrid work environment, collaborating effectively across distributed teams. It is a strong plus if you have: (optional) Certifications in cloud platforms (GCP, Azure). Knowledge of memory stores and vector databases. Experience with Data Virtualization technologies. Language required for the role: Fluent English (both written and spoken).
