Job Title: Forklift Engineer
Salary: £37,000 – £38,000 Basic (OTE £40,000)
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Location: Liverpool

We’re currently recruiting for a Forklift Engineer to join a well-established and employee-focused material handling company. Due to increased workload, they are expanding their engineering team.
This role is primarily depot-based, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on-site. You will also be required to attend local breakdowns around the Liverpool area when needed, providing reactive support to minimise customer downtime.
For candidates who prefer a more mobile role, there is also the option to focus mainly on breakdown work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attending breakdowns across Liverpool and the surrounding areas.
• Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
• Completing safety checks and ensuring all equipment is compliant
• Accurately completing job sheets and service documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience working on forklift trucks
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• A professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude
• Experience working with electrics and hydraulics (advantageous)
• Full UK driving licence

Package & Benefits

• Basic Salary: £37,000 – £38,000
• OTE: £40,000 (including bonus)
• Bonus Scheme:  3% bonus paid in April & £500 bonus paid in December
• Overtime: Available (subject to site requirements)
• Company Van & Fuel Card can be provided should you wish to mainly attend breakdowns
• Holiday: 21 days + bank holidays
