About the Role
Caring Transitions helps seniors and families through major life transitions such as downsizing, relocation, and estate clean-outs. We are building a dependable, mission-driven team and are looking for someone who is comfortable with the physical side of the work while also bringing a respectful, service-oriented attitude. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in helping others, and can assist with the heavier lifting and logistics involved in preparing homes for transition. You’ll be a key part of making projects run smoothly, especially during physically demanding days. The business is just starting so hours may be very part-time and sporadic at first.
What You’ll Do
With a moving and logistics focus, you’ll help support the physical side of projects while also participating in organizing and transition services.
Responsibilities include:Moving and positioning furniture and larger household items
Loading and unloading items for relocation, donation, or sale
Assisting with packing and unpacking
Supporting home clean-outs and downsizing projects
Helping set up and break down estate sale spaces
Working closely with the team to keep projects moving efficiently
Interacting respectfully with clients and families
Helping maintain a safe and organized work environment
Physical RequirementsComfortable lifting and moving furniture and heavier household items
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
Ability to work in homes, garages, basements, and storage areas
Strong awareness of safety and care when handling client belongings
Comfortable working in homes that may be cluttered or dirty

What You’ll NeedReliable transportation and smartphone access for scheduling, auction set up and project management tasks
Valid driver’s license
Must pass a background check prior to employment

We’ll offer a competitive hourly wage ($17 - $20/hr) with part-time, project-based hours to start. Employees eventually meeting eligibility requirements will also be able to invest in the company’s 401(k) plan. Most work will take place during weekday daytime hours.
