Seeking a Private Wealth Associate Attorney (Tax Focus) to support advanced business and transactional tax planning for entrepreneurs and closely held companies. This role is ideal for an attorney with strong hands-on experience drafting and implementing sophisticated tax strategies, including entity structuring, reorganizations, and tax-efficient transactions.
The Opportunity:
- Draft and implement sophisticated wealth transfer strategies, including grantor and non-grantor trust structures
- Support advanced estate planning techniques such as gifting programs, estate freezes, and business succession planning
- Prepare detailed tax memoranda and step-by-step implementation plans
- Translate complex planning strategies into clear, executable action steps
- Execute planning with a high level of precision, consistency, and attention to detail
- Coordinate with senior attorneys, clients, and external advisors to ensure seamless implementation
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- LLM in Taxation strongly preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 4–8 years of post-JD tax experience with significant drafting responsibility
- Strong experience in transactional tax planning and implementation
- Experience with partnership and corporate structuring
- Big 4 or accounting firm experience welcomed
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary range: $150k–$165k, depending on experience
