Senior Data Automation Consultant

The Senior Data Automation Consultant designs, implements, and maintains automated data solutions that improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making. This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline business processes, automate reporting, and develop scalable analytics solutions. The consultant integrates multiple data sources and delivers dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights while supporting financial operations and regulatory reporting. Key Responsibilities •    Design and implement automated data workflows to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency. •    Build and maintain enterprise reporting environments using Smartsheet and Power BI. •    Develop executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, and portfolio reporting solutions that provide real-time operational visibility. •    Create governed Power BI semantic models using DAX, Power Query, and role-based security for enterprise analytics. •    Analyze financial and operational processes to identify opportunities for automation and optimization. •    Utilize CAPS (Centralized Accounting Processing System) or similar financial systems to support automated reporting and financial data workflows. •    Translate business requirements into scalable data automation and reporting solutions. •    Maintain and optimize reporting infrastructure and automation processes. •    Provide guidance on data governance, documentation, and reporting standards. •    Troubleshoot and resolve data and automation issues to ensure system reliability. •    Lead or support enterprise automation and analytics initiatives. •    Train business and technical users on Smartsheet and Power BI to enable self-service analytics. •    Collaborate with finance, operations, and technology teams to deliver data-driven solutions. Required Qualifications •    Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. •    Experience with business intelligence tools such as Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar platforms. •    Experience designing and implementing data automation and reporting solutions. •    Experience working with financial data, finance operations, or financial reporting environments. •    Experience using CAPS (Centralized Accounting Processing System) or a similar financial platform. •    Strong knowledge of data visualization, reporting systems, and data transformation. •    Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify automation opportunities. •    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. •    Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications •    Experience with workflow automation platforms. •    Knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, or scripting for automation. •    Experience supporting enterprise analytics, reporting modernization, or digital transformation initiatives.
