About the Role
Smile Education are currently recruiting for a school-experienced Finance Administrator for schools in manchester.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the school’s finance function, carrying out day-to-day financial administration in line with school policies and procedures. This includes processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, updating finance systems, and dealing with finance-related queries from staff and external suppliers. Applicants must have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and previous experience working within a school finance or finance administration role. Experience using school finance systems such as SIMS Finance, FMS, PS Financials, IRIS, BROMCOM or similar is highly desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day financial operations of the school
Process invoices, purchase orders and staff expense claims
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
Update and manage data on the school finance system
Reconcile accounts and assist with budget monitoring
Prepare financial reports and present data to senior leaders when required
Liaise with suppliers and respond to finance-related queries
Provide administrative and financial support as required
Ensure all financial procedures comply with school and trust policies
Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
Be highly motivated, professional and forward-thinking
Have proficient computer skills, including Excel and finance software
