Bell/Luggage Attendant

The Bell / Luggage Attendant is often the first and last impression of the guest experience, welcoming arrivals, assisting with departures, and setting the tone for a memorable stay. This role is responsible for handling luggage, escorting guests, and providing helpful, personalized service while sharing knowledge of the property and local area.

With a strong focus on hospitality, this position combines efficiency, warmth, and attention to detail to ensure every guest feels cared for from the moment they arrive.

  • Greet all guests warmly upon arrival and departure, creating a welcoming and positive first impression.
  • Assist guests with luggage handling, including loading, unloading, tagging, storing, and delivering bags.
  • Escort guests to their rooms and provide a clear and engaging overview of room features, hotel amenities, and services.
  • Deliver items to guest rooms promptly, including amenities, messages, and special requests.
  • Assist guests with room changes and coordinate with Front Desk as needed.
  • Maintain organized luggage storage areas and ensure proper tagging and tracking procedures.
  • Provide guests with information about local attractions, transportation, dining, and activities.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of hotel services, events, and offerings to confidently assist guests.
  • Support pantry stocking and assist with house attendant duties when needed.
  • Monitor and support guest satisfaction by anticipating needs and responding quickly to requests.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance at all times.
  • Collaborate with Front Desk, Valet, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless service.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and guest-focused demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of or willingness to learn local area attractions and services.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
