Deputy Communications Director

In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with the Communications Director to manage the day-to-day operations of a high-performing team. From shaping campaigns to responding to breaking news, you’ll ensure SBA’s voice is strong, strategic, and heard across earned, owned, and social media channels.

• Oversee daily operations of the Communications Team to keep projects on track and goals met.
• Lead campaign execution and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Respond swiftly and strategically to media opportunities.
• Drive project management and ensure alignment across all communications initiatives.

• 3+ years in communications, media relations, or campaign management.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with media monitoring tools and social platforms.
• Commitment to SBA’s pro-life mission and values.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will include supervisor responsibilities depending upon the applicant’s experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours

This position is a full-time position. Hours are typically 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST, Monday-Friday. Weekend and evening work may be required.

Travel

This position may require occasional travel for media events.
